Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid/remote role for candidates located in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, or Virginia), with in-office collaboration required.

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and iterate on software solutions ranging from prototypes to production systems.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, product partners, and engineers to explore ideas and technical approaches.
• Work across varied technologies, languages, and frameworks based on project needs.
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI/ML and Generative AI, where they provide value.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help establish engineering practices.
• Support architectural decisions, provide technical guidance, and contribute to experimentation and technical discovery.

Requirements

• Strong general software engineering experience across different technology stacks.
• Experience designing and building modern applications, services, or platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and modern development workflows.
• Experience developing or integrating Generative AI applications.
• Strong collaboration, communication, security, privacy, and accessibility skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; some roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation or security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in innovation, R&D, labs, or exploratory engineering teams.
• Deeper expertise in frontend, backend, data, ML, or DevOps alongside generalist skills.
• Experience contributing to architectural discussions or technical strategy.
