Human Data Manager (AI)

Salary: $100,000–$186,000 USD base salary per year

What you will do

• Partner with model and engineering teams to translate data needs into high-value training and evaluation projects.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data and evaluation initiatives supporting rapid model development.
• Measure data effectiveness and impact, including data yield, evaluation lift, and usage.
• Design and improve data collection, annotation, generation, validation, and multimodal integration workflows.
• Shape Grok's behavior and domain performance through targeted data management, optimization, and analysis.
• Coordinate with engineering, technical staff, Human Data, and operations teams on planning, scaling, forecasting, reporting, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, research, product, annotation, or operations teams.
• Experience analyzing datasets to identify trends, anomalies, quality issues, or data integrity problems.
• Experience with training or evaluation datasets for large language models or other AI/ML systems.
• Experience designing or optimizing annotation workflows with a focus on factual accuracy and data integrity.
• Familiarity with multimodal data, model evaluations, AI agents, low-code tools, Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
