QA Automation Test Engineer (Playwright)

Location: Remote within the United States; only U.S. citizens are eligible. Occasional travel of less than 10% may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web applications, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Build scalable, reusable test automation frameworks, scripts, utilities, and testing components.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, user story validation, load, performance, and scalability testing.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and support continuous integration practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers during backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Analyze test results, identify defects and risks, measure coverage, and provide recommendations for release readiness.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience using automation tools to test systems and applications and writing and executing test scripts.
• Bachelor’s degree, or four additional years of relevant experience instead of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience with automation testing tools; Playwright is preferred.
• Experience developing automation strategies and frameworks from the ground up, including functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience with database and API testing, Docker containers, containerized applications, reusable automation solutions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• U.S. citizenship, eligibility for Public Trust or Suitability Determination, and the ability to handle Controlled Unclassified Information when required.

Nice to have

• GraphQL testing or framework experience.
• Federal government contracting experience.
• Experience testing .NET applications hosted in Azure Cloud.
• Performance testing, manual accessibility testing, or DHS Trusted Tester Certification.
