Senior Test Automation Engineer (Playwright/Cypress)

What you will do

• Design and implement E2E, API, and integration tests using Playwright and/or Cypress.
• Contribute to AI-enabled quality engineering, including prompt-quality checks and early production rollout of AI-assisted testing capabilities.
• Configure and maintain CI pipelines with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or Jenkins, including parallel execution and flaky-test handling.
• Test RESTful APIs, validate JSON payloads, and verify HTTP status and error handling.
• Maintain test case management and execution reporting with tools such as Xray for Jira.
• Collaborate with developers and QA leads on shared automation libraries, coding standards, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software test engineering, automation, or software development.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python, with experience building object-oriented or functional test frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Cypress, RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, HTTP status handling, and CI pipeline configuration.
• Experience supporting AI agents or skills in AI-enabled quality engineering.
• Proficiency with Git workflows, code reviews, Atlassian tools, and Xray for Jira integrations.
• Upper-Intermediate/Advanced English and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker containerization and AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Java/RestAssured or Jest/Pytest.
• Familiarity with Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Forge apps, and Connect iframes.
