TL;DR
Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET (AI) (Playwright/TypeScript): Building scalable end-to-end automation frameworks and automated API, backend, and database tests with an accent on continuous testing, test data integrity, and AI-assisted development. Focus on diagnosing flaky automation, integrating suites into CI/CD pipelines, and improving testability across cloud-based client projects.
Location: Uruguay; remote or hybrid work options available

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop automated tests for REST and GraphQL APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Validate backend behavior and data integrity through SQL queries and database-level testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Diagnose application defects, framework issues, environment problems, flaky tests, and test data failures.
- Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and Agile teams during planning, Scrum ceremonies, defect resolution, and UAT.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in QA automation or software development in test.
- Experience with Playwright, TypeScript, API testing, SQL, and database validation.
- Understanding of the full software development life cycle and CI/CD practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, evaluate technical trade-offs, and improve software testability.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to use, evaluate, and champion AI-assisted development tools.
Nice to have
- Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification.
- Experience with TestRail, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
