Salary: $70,000–$300,000 per year, plus benefits and equity.

Company

hirify.global develops risk-aware, reliable, field-ready AI systems and autonomous robots for demanding real-world environments.

What you will do

  • Define sensing requirements and select LiDAR, depth cameras, GPS, IMUs, ToF, and related sensors.
  • Integrate sensors with electrical, mechanical, and software systems, including communication interfaces, mounts, drivers, and ROS nodes.
  • Design and validate spatial and temporal performance, including synchronization, triggering, timestamping, latency, and coordinate transforms.
  • Characterize sensor performance and conduct intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal calibration in vibration, lighting, moisture, and temperature conditions.
  • Optimize sensor configurations and processing pipelines, and document sensor maps, timing diagrams, launch scripts, drivers, and firmware states.
  • Support procurement, manufacturing, field deployment, incoming quality checks, system debugging, and sensing-health monitoring.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with perception sensors such as LiDAR, depth cameras, IMUs, or GPS.
  • Experience with sensor testing, calibration, debugging, optics, signal processing, and electromagnetic wave propagation.
  • Experience with USB, Ethernet, GMSL, CAN, I2C, or CSI, as well as ROS/ROS2, sensor drivers, coordinate transforms, PTP, or NTP.
  • Experience with timestamping, synchronization, triggering, latency constraints, sensor characterization, and real-world environmental testing.
  • Experience with high-fidelity simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or RViz.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling robotic systems from prototype to production.
  • Experience with harsh field environments and deployed autonomous vehicles, drones, or ruggedized robots.
  • Fluency across software, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus knowledge of robotics autonomy stacks.

Culture & Benefits

  • In-person collaboration in a fully onsite work environment.
  • Flexible working hours to support focus and work-life balance.
  • Full benefits, equity, and generous time off.
  • Work on autonomous robotics and embodied intelligence for unstructured environments.
  • Inclusive workplace focused on merit, qualifications, and performance.
