North America Draftsman (CAD)

What you will do

• Provide CAD design support to project managers and other departments.
• Create design drawings for mechanical equipment installation projects and confirm that completed work meets specifications.
• Maintain facility drawing records, including plant layout and as-built drawings.
• Operate a 3D scanner as needed to create accurate plant documentation.
• Standardize, update, and create machine-shop parts drawings while supporting future CNC operations.
• Support operational, safety, repair, upgrade, and small-project design requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in CAD design engineering.
• Strong organizational, design engineering, prioritization, scheduling, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple designs and deliver them on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project, installation, machine-shop, operations, and safety teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience in the wire manufacturing industry.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and manufacturing equipment repairs.
• Experience with Autodesk 2D and 3D software, Microsoft Office, and Smartsheet.
