Senior Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: 100% remote; applicants must reside in the United States. Listed location: Atlanta, Georgia.

Annual base salary: $153,580, with additional incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for data ingestion and processing engagements across product, sales, leadership, and marketing functions.
• Architect and implement enterprise data solutions in cloud environments.
• Design and build critical components for complex data engineering projects.
• Deliver ETL pipelines while coordinating with onshore and offshore ETL engineers.
• Create technical documentation, test cases, reliability controls, and mitigation strategies.
• Implement governance and monitor the health of data engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of experience in software development or a related role.
• Experience with big data technologies including Spark, HDFS, Sqoop, Hive, Impala, Oozie, Flume, Kafka, Streamsets, Splunk, and related data tools.
• Proficiency with Python data and machine learning libraries, R programming, Denodo, and cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Experience with Teradata, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Unix shell scripting, PL/SQL, and job scheduling tools.
