Base salary: $100,000–$300,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain documentation for robotic intelligence software, including architecture, APIs, SDKs, and codebases.
• Create deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting guides for customers and operators managing robot fleets in production.
• Collaborate with robotics researchers, ML engineers, software architects, and infrastructure teams to document complex systems accurately.
• Own the documentation lifecycle from planning and drafting through review, publication, and ongoing updates.
• Establish documentation standards, style guidelines, tooling, peer reviews, and content quality processes.
• Adapt terminology, style, and tone for expert developers, ML researchers, partners, and non-technical field operators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience producing technical documentation in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accurately to diverse audiences.
• Comfort reading code and familiarity with software development concepts, including Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience documenting complex software systems, APIs, SDKs, and software architecture at scale.
• Familiarity with Markdown, Git-based documentation, static site generators, version control, Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.

Nice to have

• Experience creating deployment guides, operational procedures, maintenance manuals, or assembly documentation for hardware or robotic systems.
• Prior experience in robotics, AI, machine learning, or a related high-tech industry.
• Ability to understand and document the flow of data and control from robot sensors and models to operator interfaces.
