Software Engineer, Kubernetes Platform (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote, United Kingdom; based in Hursley, Hampshire. Some travel may be required based on business demand.

What you will do

• Build and operate large-scale systems for a cloud-native data infrastructure platform.
• Design and develop distributed systems and Kubernetes platform capabilities.
• Work with core systems operations covering storage, networking, and operating systems.
• Develop software using Go, Python, C++, or other statically typed programming languages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and diverse teams to solve complex infrastructure problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Good understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem and experience building and operating large-scale systems.
• Understanding of storage, networking, and operating systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or another statically typed programming language.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang and Kubernetes CNI technologies.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Cloud infrastructure and cloud networking experience.
