Production Test Lead (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own the architecture and development of the manufacturing software platform.
• Build guided workflows for assembly, firmware flashing, provisioning, calibration, and final testing.
• Convert engineering scripts and manual procedures into versioned, repeatable manufacturing operations.
• Develop secure local station software and integrate hosted workflows with hardware capabilities.
• Implement workflow controls including retries, timeouts, cancellation, resumability, and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate inventory and traceability systems while recording device identities, software versions, test results, and artifacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing, robotics, hardware testing, embedded systems, or fleet operations.
• Strong Python experience and familiarity with Linux systems, services, permissions, packaging, and process management.
• Experience building reliable web applications and APIs for orchestrating local or remote hardware.
• Experience with stateful workflows, asynchronous jobs, idempotency, durable state, distributed-system failure modes, and failure recovery.
• Experience with device provisioning, firmware flashing, hardware testing, inventory or production systems, and secure artifact distribution.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, computer vision, camera calibration, networking hardware, Raspberry Pi-class devices, Bazel, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure.
