Salary: $160,360–$240,540 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Develop and scale generative models, including diffusion, flow-matching, and energy-based models, for autonomous plan generation.
  • Build generative and foundation-model systems using large language models and world models for reasoning, decision-making, and multimodal generation.
  • Optimize generative models with reinforcement learning, reward modeling, learned verifiers, joint prediction and planning, and self-play.
  • Develop controllable generative models guided by goals, conditions, and rewards.
  • Apply generative models to active learning and world modeling.
  • Collaborate across autonomy teams and deploy models to the hirify.global Driver to evaluate solutions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. preferred, or an M.Sc. with 2–3 years of experience working with generative models.
  • Research experience with generative models, particularly diffusion models, flow matching, or energy-based models, for robotics, path planning, manipulation, or autonomous driving.
  • Strong problem-solving and programming skills in Python and/or C++.
  • Demonstrated research publications at leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, RSS, or CoRL.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute as a strong team player.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vision-language-action models, reinforcement learning for generative model optimization, video generation, text-to-image generation, diffusion models for large language models, or world foundation models.
