Senior AI Scientist (AI Products / Life Sciences)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $125,000–$185,000 for Chicago and $150,000–$190,000 for New York City/San Francisco per year, plus potential incentive compensation and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, train, validate, optimize, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models for clinical care and life sciences.
• Develop multimodal models using pathology images, genomic DNA/RNA profiles, spatial omics, and longitudinal patient records.
• Create AI applications for biomarker discovery, therapy outcome prediction, companion diagnostics, and drug development.
• Translate advanced AI research into reliable, production-ready healthcare products.
• Develop solutions aligned with healthcare regulations, quality requirements, and clinical application standards.
• Collaborate with AI scientists, software engineers, clinical experts, life sciences partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or another relevant quantitative discipline.
• At least one year of industry experience leading end-to-end machine learning model development through production deployment.
• Expertise in large-scale deep learning and production-grade machine learning models.
• Experience with computer vision, multimodal modeling, Python, PyTorch, and product-level software engineering.
• Strong research background with peer-reviewed publications in leading machine learning or computer vision venues.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with pathology, multi-omics, medical AI, or healthcare applications.
• Publications focused on medical or healthcare AI.
