Project Lead - Cybersecurity

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America; onsite at the Department of Energy

Salary: $143,756–$244,385 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily activities of a high-performing technical team.
• Provide advisory and technical support across cybersecurity policy and preparedness programs for the energy sector.
• Support public-private partnerships that improve security and resilience.
• Collaborate with federal agencies, industry, national laboratories, and other partners.
• Identify issues, recommend resolutions, and prepare and present client briefings and reports.
• Coordinate with DOE organizations, other agencies, and hirify.global teams to deliver program objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active high-level security clearance.
• At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years supporting the energy sector.
• Experience with energy infrastructure security, cybersecurity, operational issues, public-private partnerships, and industrial control systems.
• Strong program or project management, consulting, research, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• 20+ years of experience and a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Prior federal or Department of Energy experience.
• Consulting experience on government contracts.
• Experience managing high-performing teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of operational technology vulnerabilities and cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and practices.
