Location: Chicago, United States; a remote compensation range is listed for the USA.

Salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD per year for Illinois and remote USA roles; other listed ranges include $220,000–$260,000 for New York and California.

What you will do

• Architect and lead AI-intensive projects from research through production-ready design.
• Design and train state-of-the-art models using pathology slides, genomic profiles, spatial omics, and longitudinal patient records.
• Develop AI solutions for biomarker discovery, therapy outcome prediction, and companion diagnostics.
• Ensure AI products meet healthcare regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
• Publish original research and engage with the global AI research community.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of industry experience leading end-to-end machine learning model development, from experimentation through validation and production deployment.
• Expertise in large-scale deep learning and training production-grade models.
• Strong product-level coding skills with Python and modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Understanding of industry-standard software engineering and development practices.
• Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in leading machine learning or computer vision venues.

Nice to have

• Experience in computer vision and multimodal modeling, including pathology or multi-omics.
• Previous work in medical or healthcare AI.
• Publications in medical or healthcare AI venues.
