Senior Software Engineer (Chat Platform) (Fintech)

Location: São Paulo, Brazil; candidates are asked whether they are based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. The role is currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

hirify.global is a hyper-growth fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot and cross-border remittance ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the United States, using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend microservices for the Chat Platform.
• Build, deploy, and iterate on chatbot services and conversational interfaces for remittance products.
• Design and manage infrastructure supporting millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
• Develop backend services using web standards and Google Cloud services.
• Use customer feedback and analytics to improve chatbot effectiveness and conversational user experience.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures, with experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications.
• Experience with web services, including SOAP and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience building chatbots, conversational interfaces, or integrating NLP tools; chatbot framework experience is a plus.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dialogflow, IBM Watson, or Rasa.
• Curiosity about or experience in fintech.
