Senior Contracts Manager

Location: Tewkesbury, United Kingdom; onsite, with hybrid and remote work schedules considered

What you will do

• Provide contractual support to Commercial Aircraft Group OEM business teams in the US and UK, supporting customers including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, and COMAC.
• Review customer agreements, develop contractual bid strategies, and structure risk mitigation plans for contract execution challenges.
• Respond to ambiguous and high-pressure customer disputes by developing and executing practical resolution strategies.
• Develop and oversee contracting and operational regulatory compliance policies for the group and its international subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with legal, trade compliance, tax, and risk management functions on VAT, tax, INCOTERMS, letters of credit, offset programs, and import/export compliance.
• Train program management personnel on agreements, commercial terms, contract drafting, negotiations, change management, and claims documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or JD and 10+ years of contract-related experience, preferably in a multinational company.
• At least 12 years of advanced contracts experience, including negotiation and legal drafting, with familiarity with the UCC.
• Extensive international transaction experience, including export licensing, imports, INCOTERMS, VAT, tariffs, and related compliance matters.
• Experience defending customer claims and preparing counterclaims.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to complex business problems with cross-functional teams under adversarial conditions.
• International work may require off-hours availability for meetings across time zones and occasional domestic or international travel.

Nice to have

• Experience involving China, the EU, or Brazil.
• Membership in a state bar.
• Fluency in an additional language.
