Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Feed Relevance (AI)

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $266,000–$372,400 USD per year, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position offered.

What you will do

• Drive the development of GenAI-powered recommendations and feed-ranking architectures.
• Deliver technical initiatives with significant company-wide impact.
• Set technical direction for the Relevance and Feeds teams and influence strategy across multiple organizations.
• Partner with management on goals, planning, and risk reduction for critical projects.
• Mentor and develop Senior and Staff engineers.
• Help build a healthy engineering culture focused on user experience and quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience building systems for relevance-driven products.
• Expertise in relevance, recommendation, and machine learning systems, including solving complex problems in these domains.
• Strong understanding of sustainable software systems at large engineering organizations.
• Experience influencing technical direction and engineering best practices across organizations.
• Experience collaborating with design, product, business, and data teams.
• Strong focus on user experience, usability, scalability, reliability, quality, communication, empathy, and cross-functional compromise.
