Architectural Designer

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, Michigan

What you will do

• Collaborate with interior designers, architects, graphic designers, experiential designers, vendors, and constructors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop 3D models, visualizations, and presentation materials that communicate design intent.
• Produce architectural deliverables and documentation while maintaining project schedules.
• Contribute to all design phases, from concept development through implementation.
• Support architectural detailing, develop project standards, and improve firm practices and procedures.
• Research industry changes and best practices while contributing to a collaborative studio culture.

Requirements

• 1–7 years of professional commercial architectural design experience.
• Degree in Architecture or Design; advanced degree and rigorous design education preferred.
• Licensure preferred, or active progress toward architectural licensure exams.
• Experience with architectural documentation, organization, and construction document preparation.
• Proficiency with SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or Revit and visualization tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, strong communication, collaboration, and detail-oriented design execution.
