FCM Compliance Officer (CFTC/NFA)

What you will do

• Build and own the FCM compliance program, including written supervisory procedures for trading and operations.
• Conduct gap analyses against CFTC and NFA requirements and provide recommendations to the CCO.
• Draft, maintain, and update compliance policies and procedures as the business and regulations evolve.
• Coordinate responses to NFA and CFTC inquiries, including internal document production.
• Monitor CFTC and NFA regulatory developments and translate them into program updates.
• Support exam preparation, internal reporting, regulatory filings, and cross-functional compliance work with trading, operations, and legal.

Requirements

• Direct compliance experience at a CFTC-registered FCM.
• Deep working knowledge of CFTC and NFA rules and regulations.
• Proven experience writing written supervisory procedures rather than only editing templates.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and propose solutions.
• Clear written communication for regulators, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience managing an NFA or CFTC examination or formal inquiry from start to finish.
