What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend engineers through performance evaluations and development plans.
- Actively write, review, and refactor code to ensure system performance and high quality.
- Design technical solutions and make core architectural decisions for system enhancements.
- Drive agile best practices and collaborate on company-wide engineering initiatives.
- Resolve technical debt and optimize database and system flows.
- Balance team workloads to ensure timely release delivery.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
- 3+ years of experience in leadership positions.
- Node.js proficiency and experience with modern web development.
- Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- English: B2/Upper-intermediate or higher required.
- Ability to work on-site in Lisbon, Portugal.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD and test-driven development.
- Experience with message brokers and 3rd party integrations.
