Scientist (Life Sciences R&D)

Annual base salary: $101,400–$154,700, plus potential discretionary or non-discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Independently design, plan, and execute experiments supporting research, feasibility, product development, and qualification programs.
• Prepare experimental procedures, laboratory records, batch and test documentation, and organized project reports.
• Analyze complex experimental data using statistical methods and software, creating tables, graphs, recommendations, and action plans.
• Present findings, troubleshoot experiments, optimize methods, and communicate issues and solutions to peers, managers, and customers.
• Conduct literature and market research, procure reagents and equipment, and support patents, grants, posters, and publications.
• Provide scientific leadership, supervise personnel when applicable, and support training, laboratory management, and safety activities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in life sciences, engineering, or a related field preferred; a master's degree may be considered with at least 6 years of relevant independent research or development experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 7 years.
• Strong scientific fundamentals, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, organization, planning, and time-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and the ability to evaluate complex data and develop recommendations.
• Experience with phage display, antibody discovery or engineering, and molecular biology, or with structural biology and membrane proteins, is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaboration, initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to scientific quality.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is validated through E-Verify. The role involves a laboratory environment with chemical reagents and some BSL-2 work.

• Postdoctoral or industrial research experience.
