Test Engineer (Automotive)

Location: New Braunfels, Texas, United States. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not offered.

Salary: $75,000–$105,000 annually, depending on experience, plus eligibility for a variable incentive program.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, debug, and maintain system-level test strategies, plans, procedures, software, fixtures, loadboxes, cables, and test bays for the Aurora manufacturing process.
• Develop, verify, and validate performance information while meeting parametric measurement, functional test, and throughput requirements.
• Participate in product and process problem-solving teams and perform root-cause analysis.
• Monitor and improve internal and external product quality, test-system yield, and test-time performance.
• Support process, procedure, and cultural changes focused on improving quality and productivity.
• Schedule, manage, and communicate multiple project activities across project team members to ensure on-time completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• General knowledge of testing processes in the electronics field.
• Basic programming knowledge and exposure to C and C#.
• Understanding of measurement systems, digital circuits, and analog circuits.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis and solve problems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
• Basic knowledge of automotive development methods and tools, including Ethernet, CAN, UDP, and TCP/IP.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Must wear company-provided ESD safety-toed shoes, smock, and other required PPE; the role involves extended sitting or standing, reaching, and operating computers and office equipment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, electronics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of testing experience in the electronics field.
• Strong programming knowledge and proficiency in C and C#.
• Experience transforming R&D functions from Python, C++, or Matlab into more efficient, high-performance production processes.
