Senior Insider Risk Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid, based in London or Nottingham, with 40% office attendance

What you will do

• Partner with DLP Engineering to review and approve DLP policies against governance standards, business requirements, and organizational risk tolerance.
• Review DLP exception requests, assess business justification and residual risk, and escalate complex or high-risk cases.
• Collaborate with business units to improve DLP coverage and strengthen data protection controls.
• Develop insider risk detection use cases, analytics, dashboards, and reporting using DLP, SIEM, UEBA, and related technologies.
• Support insider risk investigations with DLP expertise, policy guidance, reporting, and technical analysis.
• Develop program metrics, documentation, awareness materials, and risk-based governance improvements.

Requirements

• Experience working with DLP technologies and hands-on experience with SIEM, UEBA, or similar security platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in data loss prevention, insider risk, cybersecurity, or a related security discipline.
• Knowledge of insider risk, data protection, cybersecurity governance, and risk management practices.
• Experience evaluating business risk and applying governance principles to security controls, policy reviews, and exception management.
• Experience collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCITP, GCIH, GIAC, or ITPM.
