Senior Insider Risk Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in London or Nottingham, with 40% of time in the office

What you will do

• Review and approve DLP policies and exception requests in line with governance standards, business needs, and organizational risk tolerance.
• Partner with DLP Engineering, business units, security teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve data protection controls.
• Develop insider risk detection use cases, analytics, dashboards, and reporting using DLP, SIEM, UEBA, and related technologies.
• Support insider risk investigations through DLP subject matter expertise, policy guidance, reporting, and technical analysis.
• Develop metrics, documentation, and reporting to measure Insider Risk and DLP Governance Program effectiveness and maturity.
• Analyze emerging insider risk patterns and recommend risk-based control improvements, awareness initiatives, and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in data loss prevention, insider risk, cybersecurity, or a related security discipline.
• Experience with DLP technologies and familiarity with SIEM, UEBA, or similar security platforms.
• Knowledge of insider risk, data protection, cybersecurity governance, and risk management practices.
• Experience evaluating business risk, reviewing security policies, managing exceptions, and applying governance principles to security controls.
• Experience collaborating effectively across technical and business teams; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCITP, GCIH, GIAC, or ITPM.
