What you will do

• Find and develop original local stories through social listening, audience insight, contacts, and community engagement.
• Create social-first content for digital platforms, including explainers, interviews, and innovative storytelling formats.
• Script, film, produce, and edit video content for social media and digital channels.
• Repurpose hirify.global News, hirify.global Spotlight, and hirify.global Radio Devon content for social formats and publish across relevant platforms.
• Use analytics and audience insight to improve formats, treatments, reach, and engagement.
• Produce and present fast, accurate news bulletins while meeting hirify.global editorial, legal, and compliance standards.

Requirements

• NCTJ qualification, an equivalent journalism qualification, or at least two years of professional news-content experience.
• Experience creating and publishing digital and social content in journalism, news, communications, or factual content environments.
• Strong news judgement and understanding of local communities and compelling local stories.
• Broadcast and on-air experience, including writing for radio, producing content, and delivering timed news bulletins.
• Good understanding of media law, journalistic ethics, and hirify.global Editorial Guidelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with social listening, audience insight, and analytics tools.
• Multiplatform production experience across social, digital, radio, and television.
• Experience creating social infographics, image layouts, or using Photoshop.
• Experience presenting social reels or working in a live studio environment.
