Infrastructure Capacity Planner, Demand Planning

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $320,000–$405,000 USD.

What you will do

• Build and own medium-range multi-resource demand forecasts for accelerators, CPU, storage, egress, and managed services.
• Translate model roadmaps, reinforcement learning and inference growth, evaluation volume, and retention policies into resource requirements.
• Run weekly plan-versus-reality reviews, identify stale allocations and unrecorded trades, and reduce forecast variance.
• Qualify incoming capacity tranches by resource shape, region, quarter, and supporting-resource requirements before commitments are signed.
• Partner with Finance and cost-efficiency teams to model non-accelerator spend and prioritize savings initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in capacity, demand, or supply planning for large-scale technical infrastructure such as cloud, HPC, hyperscale, or internal platforms.
• Ability to distinguish forecasts, plans, and allocations and to build forecasting models independently.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Python/pandas or a forecasting and optimization stack.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure resource classes, including accelerators, CPU, storage, and egress.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or relevant experience.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco or New York City office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud or neocloud reserved-capacity onboarding, private offers, or capacity commitments.
• Accelerator fleet forecasting and translation of research or product roadmaps into resource requirements.
• Data center or colocation delivery, including power, space, network, site acceptance, and vendor management.
• Accelerator health, burn-in testing, collective-communications testing, or fleet-health SLOs.
• Lifecycle services, infrastructure asset systems of record, scheduler integration, or observability stack onboarding.
