What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, highly available platforms for risk hedging, trade execution, trade booking, workflow management, and post-trade processing.
• Scale infrastructure to support business growth and new synthetic products through a front-to-back engineering approach.
• Apply AI and automation to engineering and business workflows, contributing to the SPG AI toolkit.
• Collect system data and metrics and develop tools that support performance analysis and business intelligence.
• Work with traders, sales, strategists, operations, compliance, and engineering teams to gather requirements, design workflows, deliver features, and provide support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Research, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Hands-on Java development experience and strong object-oriented programming knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI, skills development, and prompt optimization.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Financial industry and front-office experience, including knowledge of equity synthetic or derivative products.
• People-management, mentoring, and team-building experience.
• Experience with LLM-based development tools, Spring or Guice, Angular or React, Linux shell scripting, and systems programming.
• Experience building low-latency real-time, event-driven, event-sourced, or transaction-sequencing systems.
• Knowledge of JVM internals, garbage-collection tuning, and GC-free real-time operation.
