Senior Backend Software Engineer (Cloud Monetization Platform)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands, or remotely. Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply.

What you will do

• Design abstractions for a rapidly evolving cloud monetization and business model.
• Build reliable distributed workflows for usage, billing, payments, pricing, and enterprise contracts.
• Develop scalable backend services across a platform of 25+ microservices.
• Ensure correctness, consistency, and performance in asynchronous system workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders while taking ownership of platform decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python knowledge or the ability to become productive with the technology stack quickly.
• Experience building distributed backend systems and microservice architectures.
• Understanding of distributed transactions, consistency models, and reliable asynchronous workflows.
• Experience designing scalable backend services, with strong communication and ownership skills.
• Authorization to work in the country of application is required.
