Software Engineer, Generative AI

Location: Hybrid, based out of the San Francisco, New York City, or London hubs; other listed US locations include Seattle.

Base compensation: $146K–$240K in San Francisco and New York City; $132K–$216K in other US locations, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and develop secure, scalable generative AI services and applications using Python and modern frameworks.
• Build and optimize low-latency APIs and microservices integrating AI models and agentic workflows.
• Own system design and architecture for core platform components from proposal through production deployment.
• Implement responsive interfaces with React and TypeScript, connecting backend services with frontend experiences.
• Communicate plans and technical changes while collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers.
• Build continuous deployment, logging, and monitoring systems for performance, security, and reliability across distributed workloads.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong production Python development.
• Experience building and deploying generative AI applications using LLMs, vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector, and modern open-source agentic frameworks.
• Practical experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of FastAPI, Asyncio, PostgreSQL, and AI developer tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with enterprise architecture and implementing IAM, SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, RBAC, security practices, or enterprise administration and billing services.
• Collaborative communication, proactive problem-solving, cross-functional engagement, mentoring, and accountability for resilient, scalable code from conception through production.
