Fullstack Engineer (Angular)

Location: Hybrid, Amsterdam, Netherlands; candidates must live within commuting distance of the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain performant, responsive, and usable frontend components with Angular and Lit HTML.
• Own the integration layer between frontend and backend, including OpenAPI-defined APIs, data contracts, and microservices.
• Make targeted backend changes in Python and FastAPI, including endpoints, response models, data models, and queries.
• Contribute to full-stack architecture discussions covering UI components, API design, and data access patterns.
• Review code, improve frontend observability and performance, and ensure accessibility and design-system consistency.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Backend, DevOps, Product, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack engineering.
• Strong Angular proficiency and experience with component-based frameworks such as Lit HTML.
• Experience with responsive design, UX/UI principles, APIs, microservices, HTTP, REST, authentication flows, and error handling.
• Working proficiency in Python sufficient to navigate FastAPI, add or adjust endpoints, and write Pydantic models and SQLAlchemy queries.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and containerized workflows using Docker.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work from within commuting distance of the Amsterdam office.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LLM API integration using OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar services.
• Understanding of UX patterns for AI-powered features.
• Experience with Neo4j, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, or GitHub Actions.
