Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands; candidates must live within commuting distance of the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain performant, responsive Angular components, using Lit HTML where applicable.
• Own frontend-to-backend integration through OpenAPI-defined APIs, data contracts, and clean microservice connections.
• Make targeted backend changes in FastAPI, including endpoints, response models, data models, and SQLAlchemy queries.
• Contribute to full-stack architecture, API design, data access patterns, code reviews, and performance improvements.
• Improve frontend quality through accessibility, design-system consistency, observability, error tracking, and performance budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation and code reviews.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack engineering.
• Strong Angular proficiency and experience with component-based frameworks such as Lit HTML.
• Experience with responsive design, UX/UI principles, APIs, microservices, HTTP, REST, authentication flows, and error handling.
• Working proficiency in Python and the ability to work with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Docker and familiarity with cloud-native development workflows.
• Strong English communication skills and availability to work within commuting distance of the Amsterdam office.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Understanding of UX patterns for AI-powered features.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Neo4j, GitHub Actions, and related development tooling.
