What you will do
- Own backend services from architecture and design through production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability using data and operational metrics.
- Build infrastructure and data pipelines for machine-learning, analytics, and real-time use cases.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to turn complex data into product features.
- Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, technical standards, and engineering mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with high-scale systems.
- 2+ years of experience building Node.js backend systems with TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Strong proficiency with AWS or GCP and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Familiarity with iOS or Android development using Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, or Java.
- Solid knowledge of system design, data structures, APIs, testing, observability, data-intensive systems, and complex data pipelines.
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Data engineering experience with Apache Spark.
- Experience using AI tools and integrating generative AI into daily workflows.
