Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Number One, Welcome Building, Bristol, BS2 0TR, United Kingdom; office attendance two days per week

What you will do

• Build, enhance, and support AI-enabled tooling and automation for the engineering platform.
• Write high-quality code in line with corporate, regulatory, and secure coding standards.
• Deliver product features collaboratively and provide engineering support for existing applications.
• Develop automated tests, review code, and document solutions to agreed standards.
• Build strong working relationships across the Digital department and contribute to technical development initiatives.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of one or more development languages.
• Practical understanding of database design, version control, project tracking, and the software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and application design patterns.
• Ability to work independently and in an agile team, solve problems logically, and make sound decisions.
• Permanent full-time role based in Bristol, working 37.5 hours per week with office attendance two days a week.
• Employment sponsorship is not available.
