Associate Operations Manager, Operational Safety (Robotics)

Salary: $101,400–$149,000 USD annually, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global Labs is an independent robotics and automation team within hirify.global, developing autonomous solutions for last-mile logistics at scale.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of operational safety specialists across remote and onsite functions.
• Design, govern, and continuously improve standard operating procedures across hirify.global Labs programs.
• Establish safety metrics and KPIs, analyze trends and risks, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Oversee critical incident triage, resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, product, legal, and field operations to embed safety into product design, launches, and scaling.
• Represent operational safety with regulators, partners, and customers when required.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations, safety, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience managing or leading teams and developing talent.
• Experience designing and scaling safety or operational systems in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Executive presence, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex risk data to senior stakeholders.
• Experience in autonomy, robotics, aerospace, or defense is strongly preferred.
• Participation in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends, with prompt response to incidents.

Nice to have

• Experience with safety management systems, ISO 45001, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience designing and deploying training programs and instructional materials.
• Experience with autonomous systems, robotics deployment, or large-scale fleet operations.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Jira, and SQL.
