What you will do

• Lead SME loan underwriting activities and ensure timely, high-quality credit decisions.
• Review and approve credit applications within delegated authority limits.
• Develop and improve underwriting policies, guidelines, procedures, and decision frameworks.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, bank statements, and alternative SME data.
• Partner with Risk and Data teams to enhance credit scoring models and monitor portfolio performance.
• Coach underwriters and credit analysts while collaborating with Sales and Operations to improve turnaround times and customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in SME credit underwriting, credit risk, or lending.
• Strong understanding of SME financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and loan structures.
• Familiarity with automated underwriting tools, credit scoring models, and alternative data sources.
• Knowledge of local lending regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong credit judgment, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring skills.
