Communications Coordinator - Content - PLMSP

Location: Brisbane, Australia; office-based hybrid arrangement. Travel within Australia and internationally may be required. Valid Australian or country-specific work rights are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Produce end-to-end communications content, including story identification, interviews, editorial writing, photography, videography, video editing and post-production.
• Create feature stories, social media content, video scripts, information resources and marketing materials for varied audiences and channels.
• Capture photo, video and interview content in field, event and stakeholder settings using professional camera equipment.
• Support campaigns, media monitoring, procurement, approvals and day-to-day communications coordination.
• Maintain consent records, file structures, naming conventions and digital content libraries.
• Work with program teams, country teams, workers, employers and stakeholders to develop authentic and culturally appropriate stories.

Requirements

• Approximately four years of experience in multimedia content production, communications, journalism, videography, photography, video editing, media monitoring or a related field.
• Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a strong portfolio of written, photo, video, social or digital content.
• Confidence operating professional camera equipment in manual mode and adapting to outdoor shoots, changing light and audio requirements.
• Strong writing and editing skills with sound judgement on tone, accuracy and cultural context.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, fast turnarounds, multiple projects, consent records and approval processes.
• Valid Australian or country-specific work rights required; visa sponsorship is not available. A police check and Working with Children Check are also required.

• Experience in international development, public-purpose communications or government-style communications.
