GoldenGate Engineer (Remote)

Location: Fully remote within the United States.

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, upgrade, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate across Classic and Microservices architectures.
• Design and maintain relational database structures, access controls, and backup and recovery procedures.
• Build and maintain automated Azure-to-Corporate Data Warehouse replication workflows.
• Resolve advanced database issues while minimizing operational disruption and improving performance.
• Author technical documentation and follow change control procedures.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders while adapting to Veterans Affairs data warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Expert hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate design, deployment, upgrades, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL Server experience, including performance tuning, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
• Advanced SQL and relational database theory knowledge.
• Experience with database security, backup and recovery, and API integration for automation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale federal or enterprise data environments and very large databases.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data architectures and enterprise data warehousing.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and automation workflows.
• Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Jira, or Confluence.
• Oracle or Microsoft Azure database certifications.
