Principal Cloud Developer (Digital Platform Engineering)

Location: Onsite, with an expectation of primarily working from an HPE office

What you will do

• Translate platform architecture and product requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Design cloud-native platforms using APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, and modern engineering practices.
• Define practical modernization paths for legacy systems to improve reliability, scalability, and operational simplicity.
• Integrate enterprise applications, Salesforce, CRM, ERP, data platforms, cloud services, and AI-enabled systems.
• Develop reusable architecture patterns and technical standards for secure, resilient, observable platforms.
• Provide technical direction through architecture reviews, design discussions, and hands-on guidance across engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud development, architecture, or similar technical roles.
• Experience delivering customer-facing digital platforms and enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, data platforms, cloud services, and business systems.
• Practical experience with AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automation, or modern integration architectures.
• Ability to influence technical direction and communicate architecture trade-offs to engineering, business, and leadership audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and observability tools such as New Relic or Datadog.
• Exposure to Angular, Node, Express, Java, or similar technologies.
