Senior IT Business Analyst – Financial Risk Systems

Location: Porto, hybrid; candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze user requirements, challenge business needs, and prepare functional specifications.
• Define and execute test cases to support quality assurance and system integrity.
• Collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders to align requirements and resolve issues.
• Create functional documentation and support knowledge transfer.
• Provide first-line user support and identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Work in an Agile Scrum environment and mentor less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in IT projects within financial institutions.
• Knowledge of economics, finance, banking, or risk management.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Autonomous, structured, proactive, and client-centric approach.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial risk IT systems.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
