Senior Communications Manager (Insurance)

Location: Dallas, Texas; Morristown, New Jersey; Austin, Texas; or the San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually for the Morristown, NJ and San Jose, CA locations.

What you will do

• Own press and media strategy, including narrative development, press releases, editorial planning, and priority media relationships.
• Partner with Finance and Investor Relations on quarterly earnings communications and proactive media storytelling.
• Prepare executives and spokespeople for high-visibility interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances.
• Drive executive thought leadership through commentary, bylines, and industry speaking opportunities.
• Develop consumer communications and campaign storytelling focused on protecting homeowners.
• Manage the PR agency relationship and advise executives on reputation, crisis, and communications opportunities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of corporate communications, PR, or media relations experience across in-house and agency environments.
• End-to-end experience with press releases, editorial calendars, and media relationship management.
• Experience managing PR agencies and driving media relations programs.
• Experience partnering with Finance or Investor Relations on public-company earnings or related financial communications.
• Experience preparing executives for high-visibility media and speaking engagements.
• Excellent writing, editing, judgment, and independent decision-making skills in ambiguous environments.
