Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, Infrastructure

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations are Arizona, Utah, and Virginia. U.S. citizenship and residency are required for FedRAMP work. Swing shift: 3pm–12am Eastern Time; training is approximately three months at 9am–6pm ET.

Salary: $102,400–$153,200 annually, plus potential bonus or commission and benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor, respond to, and resolve infrastructure alerts, incidents, service requests, and changes within SLA.
• Own customer-impacting escalations and drive service restoration and platform stability.
• Provision, operate, and upgrade compute, storage, and platform services in AWS cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Create and improve runbooks, SOPs, operational standards, and automation that reduces manual effort.
• Partner with Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Security, and Customer Support on release readiness, infrastructure projects, and after-hours on-call coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure or cloud operations for SaaS platforms.
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, including EC2, EBS, S3, load balancing, VPC, Transit Gateway, and Route 53.
• 2+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant cloud environments, infrastructure automation, and scripting with Bash, Shell, Python, or similar.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• U.S. citizenship and residency required; availability for Eastern Time swing shifts and after-hours on-call rotation required.

Nice to have

• GCP experience or AWS/GCP certification.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
