Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure/SRE)

Location: Hybrid role in Morrisville, North Carolina, or Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, United States. Requires US citizenship due to potential security-clearance needs. Includes on-call rotations and occasional odd-hour work.

Salary: $147,900–$220,000 per year, with final compensation based on location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Operate and improve the full lifecycle of cloud-based SaaS and IaaS services, from design and deployment through operation and refinement.
• Develop automation for deployment, packaging, monitoring, and efficient cloud operations.
• Administer Kubernetes, containers, servers, databases, and backend infrastructure across distributed cloud environments.
• Monitor availability, latency, performance, and system health using observability and monitoring tools.
• Debug service bottlenecks, provide tier 2 and tier 3 support, and resolve complex production and cross-platform incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis, create runbooks, address security issues, and collaborate with developers and cloud service providers on scalable architectures.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required due to potential security-clearance needs.
• At least 5 years of experience with scripting and infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Deep knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing, distributed systems, and DevOps/SRE methodologies.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and CoreOS, plus experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to lead a Scrum team, influence stakeholders, maintain a product backlog, and manage sprints.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
