Cybersecurity Architect/Engineer

Location: Full-time on-site in San Antonio, Texas, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance obtained within the last two years are required, along with a CI polygraph completed within the last five years.

What you will do

• Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering activities for software factory and cloud-native environments.
• Coordinate cloud security activities with technical, security, and Government stakeholders across Agile delivery schedules.
• Integrate cybersecurity, RMF, DoD policy, Zero Trust, and cATO objectives into SAFe Agile and DevSecOps workflows.
• Implement, document, test, and continuously validate security controls, authorization artifacts, inherited controls, and compliance evidence.
• Design cloud security solutions for AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, containerized applications, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Assess cyber risks, support vulnerability remediation and STIG implementation, and brief senior Government leadership on architecture, metrics, and recommendations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance within the last two years, plus a CI polygraph within the last five years.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, software engineering, cloud computing, or a related technical field.
• CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or an equivalent DoD 8140 certification.
• At least nine years of experience supporting DoD cybersecurity or cloud security missions.
• At least nine years implementing cloud security solutions in AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or containerized environments.
• Experience with RMF, ATO, cATO, Agile, SAFe, DevSecOps, Zero Trust, vulnerability management, STIGs, continuous monitoring, and NIST SP 800-53.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking, CKS, or CKA.
• Experience with Iron Bank, hardened containers, Terraform, Helm, GitOps, Kustomize, and IL4–IL6 cloud environments.
• Experience supporting Cyber Operations Teams, Cyber Penetration Teams, Security Control Assessors, software factories, or secure software supply chains.
• Experience supporting Combatant Commands, military services, or Intelligence Community organizations.
