Junior IT Specialist

TL;DR

Junior IT Specialist (macOS/Linux/Windows): Supporting office and remote users by troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, applications, networks, and access permissions with an accent on endpoint administration, user management, and basic automation. Focus on configuring laptops, resolving cross-platform incidents, maintaining support documentation, and writing scripts with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

Location: Hiring in Ukraine, Lviv; the role is Lviv-based. The IT Support team also supports office and remote contractors worldwide.

What you will do

• Support macOS, Windows, and Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
• Configure laptops, reinstall operating systems, and install required software.
• Resolve system, application, hardware, and network issues.
• Manage users, permissions, accounts, software licenses, and access across Active Directory, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Jira, and other platforms.
• Maintain project documentation, support lab environments, and assist with IT equipment sourcing and management.
• Write and troubleshoot basic Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripts and coordinate worldwide parcel receipt and shipping.

Requirements

• Up to 6 months of experience in IT support or a related area.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and experience with ticket tracking systems, support operations, and user management.
• Administration experience with macOS, Linux (Ubuntu), and Windows, including system configuration, packages, and installers.
• Understanding of command-line tools, manuals, and basic TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, and DNS protocols.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting basic Bash scripts.
• Intermediate-level English or higher is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS systems and cloud services such as AWS and GCP.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools.
• Experience with Python.
