Physician, Obesity Medicine (Telemedicine)

Location: 100% remote, must be based in the United States; the listed location is Kansas City, Missouri. Applicants must be licensed in Missouri, Alabama, or Mississippi and must hold or be able to rapidly obtain an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Letter of Qualification.

Salary: $157,500–$168,750 USD annually

What you will do

• Provide longitudinal, evidence-based patient care for obesity and chronic weight management through telemedicine.
• Manage an individual patient panel and collaborate with Registered Dietitians and other care team members.
• Develop treatment plans, support medical management of complex cases, and prescribe non-controlled obesity medications.
• Review charts and conduct return visits for APP patients as the care model expands.
• Support APP professional development through feedback, clinical growth, continuing education, and potential supervision.
• Participate in after-hours call rotation, departmental meetings, quality improvement, and team-based care initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification and American Board of Obesity Medicine diplomate status.
• Active licensure to practice and prescribe in Missouri, Alabama, or Mississippi is required.
• Must hold a valid IMLC Letter of Qualification or meet the prerequisites to obtain one rapidly after hire.
• Prior telemedicine experience and strong patient communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with advanced practice professionals and Registered Dietitians.
• Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based obesity management and consistent clinical documentation.

Nice to have

• Credentialing experience with insurance payers.
• Licensure in multiple states.
• Medical fluency in Spanish.
