Senior SDET (IC4) - Senior Software Engineer in Test (Test Automation)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid workplace. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada; this role is not eligible for sponsorship.

What you will do

• Act as the quality champion and SDET within a product Scrum team supporting a large-scale distributed enterprise solution.
• Establish test plans, automation strategies, and coverage for features, integrations, workflows, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Design and execute performance and load tests, release validation, deployment activities, and system testing.
• Partner with software engineers and product stakeholders to improve testability, reliability, maintainability, and release quality.
• Lead automation architecture improvements, refactoring, tool evaluation, and adoption of testing best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to small project leadership or supervision responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile and DevOps environments, CI/CD, build, configuration, and release management.
• Experience designing automated tests with tools such as Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, or equivalent frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Python, Java, object-oriented programming, SQL, RESTful APIs, and tools such as Postman or Curl.
• Experience or exposure to performance testing, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
