Regional Group Leader

Location: Dover, Delaware, supporting teams and clients across Delaware, Maryland, and the broader Delmarva region

Salary: Starting at $175,000 per year; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and licensing status.

What you will do

• Provide visible local leadership and operational coordination for Delaware and Maryland teams.
• Represent hirify.global with municipal, county, state, institutional, and private-sector clients, particularly in transportation, government, and planning markets.
• Identify and pursue transportation, municipal, planning, environmental, and infrastructure opportunities supporting regional growth.
• Develop pursuit strategies, teaming approaches, and proposal positioning with division, department, practice, and group leaders.
• Support project delivery, resource planning, quality standards, risk management, budgets, schedules, and client communication.
• Strengthen collaboration and cross-selling across transportation, civil/site, survey, geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and construction-related services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, planning, environmental science, construction management, business, or a related field.
• 24+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, consulting, project management, operations, or public-sector infrastructure services.
• Experience developing staff, growing teams, coordinating office operations, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of Delaware and/or Maryland public-sector markets, municipal clients, transportation agencies, and regional infrastructure needs.
• Experience with business development, client relationship management, proposals, and project delivery.
• Professional registration in Delaware and/or Maryland, or the ability to obtain it, is preferred where applicable.

Nice to have

• PE, Professional Planner, PMP, or another relevant professional credential.
• Existing relationships with DelDOT, Maryland transportation or municipal agencies, Delaware municipalities, public works departments, institutional clients, or regional infrastructure partners.
• Background in transportation, municipal government, planning, roadway and traffic engineering, complete streets, multimodal planning, land development, environmental permitting, utility coordination, or grant-funded infrastructure programs.
• Active involvement in ACEC, ASCE, APWA, ITE, WTS, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, or transportation and municipal associations.
