What you will do
- Develop and commission embedded software for new products and platforms.
- Modernize RXE and CSS product lines and migrate existing products to contemporary software platforms.
- Evaluate microprocessors and embedded technologies for future development.
- Maintain and extend products throughout their lifecycle, including Debian Linux kernels and drivers.
- Analyze hardware and software issues and provide technical support to service, production, and assembly teams.
- Collaborate with software, electronics, and mechanical engineering teams while improving development processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a comparable field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development within an industrial R&D environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern C++ and C, plus experience with Git and modern software development processes.
- Understanding of electronics, including reading schematics and measuring signals.
- Knowledge of unit and system testing, with experience in structured, analytical, solution-oriented work.
- Fluent English required; German is an advantage.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or C# and tools such as GCC, CMake, Visual Studio Code, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of the Zephyr embedded operating system.
- Experience with Embedded Linux systems and Linux driver development or maintenance.
