What you will do

• Develop onboard motion planning algorithms including obstacle avoidance and dynamic replanning.
• Generate feasible flight trajectories under airframe and actuator constraints.
• Design guidance laws to maintain aircraft stability and path adherence.
• Manage input interfaces from navigation and perception pipelines, including latency and dropout handling.
• Implement mode and failsafe logic for various flight phases.
• Verify system performance through simulation, SITL, HITL, and flight test data analysis.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace, robotics, GNC, or related STEM field.
• Proven experience with onboard motion planning, trajectory generation, and guidance laws on flying platforms.
• Hands-on experience closing control loops on perception outputs with latency management.
• Familiarity with learning-based planning and simulation-based training.
• Systems-minded approach to failure modes and validation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical results to engineering and senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with vision-based or perception-coupled guidance.
