Writer/Producer (Sports Entertainment)

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, at WWE Headquarters, with weekly travel to RAW or SmackDown shows and rotating travel to Premium Live Events

What you will do

• Develop clearly defined and emotionally sophisticated characters for a diverse group of WWE talent.
• Write creative, descriptive, and engaging storylines for RAW, SmackDown, and selected WWE programming streaming on ESPN.
• Collaborate with writers to create stories for global audiences across multiple demographics.
• Provide punch-up for scripted segments and review full episodes for continuity and flow.
• Use consumer insights and social media to develop storylines aligned with the WWE brand and each talent's skills and history.
• Travel weekly to WWE shows and attend weekly creative writing meetings at the Stamford headquarters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of writing experience for television or film.
• Professional television or film staff experience is preferred.
• Experience working with on-screen talent, creative writers, and producers.
• Understanding of WWE audiences, including demographic and psychographic characteristics, is preferred.
• A BA/BS in film, television, drama, media studies, communications, or a similar field is preferred; validated experience may substitute for a degree.

• Producing and directing experience.
• Experience in live television production.
