Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin/Java)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable microservices and APIs.
• Design solutions that support business functions, product goals, and future growth.
• Build secure integrations between hirify.global and external systems using APIs, middleware, and custom development.
• Work with Product and engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet product requirements.
• Provide technical guidance through architectural documentation, conceptual design, and hands-on coding.
• Contribute to agile development, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, particularly with cloud-based applications.
• Strong web application design, object-oriented programming, and cloud database experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with service-oriented and event-driven architectures, microservices, APIs, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and storage technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience scaling global web applications and working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Good written and spoken English; a degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering is required.
